Background
Kelly Kinser is a business attorney and strategic advisor operating at the intersection of law, finance, and enterprise leadership for closely held companies and family offices. Her practice focuses on real estate, business transactional, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate structuring and governance, with an emphasis on aligning legal strategy with long-term business objectives.
Kelly has previously served in a dual capacity as both counsel and senior business advisor to a large privately held enterprise with offices across North America and directed its affiliated family office. In that role, she advised on complex transactions, enterprise risk, tax-aware structuring and wealth strategy, while also supporting executive leadership and ownership in high-level decision-making. Her experience extends beyond traditional legal work to include oversight of complex asset classes, including aviation assets, and coordination across legal, financial, and operational functions. Her approach is informed by that experience, with an emphasis on structure, judgment, and practical outcomes.
Kelly began her career in private practice, where she developed a foundation across real estate, financial institutions, renewable energy, and complex commercial matters. Her primary practice group was consistently highly rated by Chambers USA.
She has been appointed to serve on the Contract Forms Committee for the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission (OREC), where she participates in drafting and revising the standard real estate contracts used by licensees across Oklahoma. She also chairs OREC's Commercial Forms Task Force, where she works with experienced real estate professionals across the State to promulgate forms for widespread use in commercial real estate transactions.
In addition to her practice, Kelly has taught Real Property in the Master of Legal Studies program at Oklahoma City University.
She has been recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America for Real Estate Law and as an Oklahoma Rising Star by Super Lawyers, and was named Board Member of the Year by the Urban League of Greater Oklahoma City.
She is active in the community through volunteer work with the YWCA of Oklahoma City and Palomar and provides pro bono legal services in support of nonprofit organizations.
